Viana is a Composer and professor at Fundação Clóvis Salgado (Belo Horizonte-Brazil). He has a Ph.D in Music by Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and BA by Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG); lately he has studied in other institutions in Italy and Sweden such as Reale Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna, Arts Academy of Rome, Accademia Chigiana di Siena and Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He has composed 415 music pieces and received 29 national and international composition awards from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the USA.

Golden Hornet Austin, Texas Golden Hornet is a non-profit which commissions new music, fosters young and emerging composers, and presents adventurous works in non-traditional settings. Led by Artistic Director Graham Reynolds and Managing Director Kate Murray. All purchases support our programming.
