Jean Angelus Pichardo is a composer from Mexico City. His compositions have been commissioned by ensembles throughout Mexico, and performed across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and in Mexico, where his work was featured at the the NYCEMF, Diffrazioni Festival, Montreal Nouvelles Musiques Festival, the World Symposium on Choral Music, International Mexico in Barcelona Festival, International Cervantino Festival, among others.

He was a resident composer for the VocalEssence ¡Cantaré! program in 2014-2015. Pichardo has received awards and grants including the National Endowment for the Arts Young Artist grant by FONCA in its edition 2012 and 2015, and the Creator Artist grant by State Fund for Arts and Culture in 2011, 2014 and 2018.
