Kennedy Taylor Dixon, a MA student at WMU, often writes for herself and other string instruments, due to her comfort and pedigree as a violist. Her music contains long formed trajectories and slowly evolving sound worlds that is inspired by post-minimalistic qualities. KTD uses indeterminacy to give performers their own input, while also including her intentions; this effectively creates a warm and meditative world where the audience is able to ponder the intimacy of sounds themselves.
